Dozens of protesters staged a demonstration outside BBC studio’s in Belfast on Wednesday evening.
The protesters turned out in support of the Union flag at Belfast City Hall and say they feel they have not been represented how they would like to be on Radio Ulster’s Nolan Show.
The Nolan Show is screening a television programme at 10.35pm on Wednesday addressing the ongoing unrest following Belfast City Counci’s decision in December to fly the Union flag only on 20 statutory days, instead of all year around as was the policy previously.
The Nolan Show said on Twitter last night that spokespersons from all sides of the flags debate were featured.
Scores of protests in support of the Union flag have been staged across the Province, mainly organised through social networking websites such as Twitter and Facebook.
There has also been serious rioting connected with some of the protests, particularly in peaceline areas of north and east Belfast. However the vast majority of protests have been peaceful.
Politicians from across the community have urged the protesters to call off their demonstrations. Traders have complained that the demonstrations have had an adverse effect on their businesses.
The Pubs of Ulster - who represent many in the local hospitality sector - have said that takings have been down between 30 and 55 per cent.
The DUP have proposed that the Union flag is flown all year round at the Cenotaph within the grounds of Belfast City Hall. The council is currently considering this proposal.
