THE mother of a four-year-old boy who was found burning in a street in Ballymena after his clothes caught fire was arrested on Saturday, police have confirmed.
The 28-year-old woman, from the Larne road area, was released on bail pending further investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a 28-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in the Larne Road area. We would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.”
Bradley Spiers was seen running from his Brooke park home engulfed in flames on Friday. He was initially taken to Antrim area hospital before being transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children due to the seriousness of his injuries. It is believed most of Bradley’s injuries are to his upper body.
