Four men and a woman were arrested on Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery in west Belfast.
One man aged 25 was detained on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon. A woman aged 19 and three men aged 30, 26 and 18 were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A spokesman for the PSNI said all five suspects were currently assisting police with their enquiries.
An undisclosed sum of cash was stolen during the robbery at a shop in the Beechmount Avenue area of west Belfast at about 9.40pm on Wednesday.
Officers from the PSNI auto crime team made the arrests after they stopped a Volkswagen Bora in the Springfield Park area a short time later.
