A FEMALE motorist was left badly shaken after she was forced from her vehicle at knifepoint.
The hijacking happened in the Corporation Street area of the city shortly after 6.15pm on Wednesday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “A male carrying what is believed to be a knife approached a Peugeot 207 car, driven by a female.
“He ordered the female out of the vehicle. This unknown male then made off in the stolen car.”
The car was found abandoned at approximately 8.45pm in the Upper Meadow Street area of Belfast.
“The female driver of the car was not injured however she was left badly shaken,” the police spokesperson added.
