METHODIST College Girls’ Choir is gearing up to take part in the final of the UK’s most prestigious choral competition – Choir of the Year 2012
The event will take place in London on October 28.
The Belfast choir, which secured its place in the final by winning the Youth Category, will be one of six vocal groups battling it out to win the coveted title at the Royal Festival Hall.
More than 5,000 singers from 138 choirs entered the competition in auditions across the UK.
The final will be broadcast on BBC Four on Tuesday, November 13 and on BBC Radio 3’s The Choir on Sunday, November 11, at 5pm.
