THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Northern Ireland as extensive heavy rain caused flooding in some areas.
The PSNI have advised motorists to drive with care.
The rain is forecast to die down from the afternoon and drier and brighter conditions will follow from the west, reaching Belfast into the evening.
It will be dry for most of the night but a few showers will affect the north coast.
A few sunny spells and showers are expected on Friday.
