The latest celebrity gossip from the Press Association’s showbiz reporters

:: SELENA GOMEZ has revealed she’s struggling to describe her new film Feed The Dog.

The actress recently finished shooting the comedy, based on the coming-of-age novel While I’m Dead... Feed The Dog, and confessed she’s not sure what genre it falls into.

She told Collider: “It’s a little edgy, a little dark. I’ve been saying it’s a dark comedy, it’s more of a comedy but there’s a little bit of sexual stuff in it.

“It’s actually really hard to explain this movie. I’ve had interviews for it already and I’m just like, ‘I don’t know how to explain it’.”

:: PAMELA ANDERSON has admitted she “deserved” to go after becoming the first contestant eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.

The former Baywatch actress - who recently admitted she felt like an “underdog” on the show - was competing on the US television programme for the second time but got the boot after failing to impress with her moves.

She tweeted after leaving the contest: “Good Luck - everyone at DWTS... The fish out of water has left the building. Sad - but deserved it. I didn’t come through last night.”

:: CHERYL COLE belted out tracks despite the pouring rain at a gig in Copenhagen - but later revealed she feared she might fall over.

The singer, 29, took to the stage with an exposed midriff, black leather over-the-knee boots and gloves, during her performance in Copenhagen.

Her boyfriend and backing dancer Tre Holloway also worked the stage during the downpour, as Cheryl sang her hits.

But Cheryl later revealed on Twitter: “Thank you Denmark for an amazing welcome! Ps... You take the record #wettestshowofmycareer lol...”

She added: “Apologies for any missed choreography ! It was that or sing it on my a** hahaha...”

:: Strictly Come Dancing contestant DANI HARMER has revealed her secret weapon for coping with criticism on the show - her mum.

The former Tracy Beaker actress has teamed up with dance pro VINCENT SIMONE for the new series of the BBC One show, and is bracing herself for criticism from judge CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD.

She confessed: “Craig has such a sharp tongue. Vincent’s told me to just ignore him, so I won’t give anything back.

“But the Italian stallion on the other hand, he might bite. I’m just going to keep my mouth closed - unless he says anything really out of order, then I’ll get my mum on him!”

:: SALMA HAYEK has confessed she still struggled to land acting jobs after her Oscar nomination.

The star told Stylist that, as a Mexican actress, she struggled to get work when she started trying to crack Hollywood and revealed that getting an Academy Award nod for her portrayal of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in 2002 didn’t really open any doors.

She said of starting out in Tinseltown: “You could not get a job if you were Mexican. The people I was auditioning for would make fun of Mexico and frankly, would make fun of me too, like, ‘What are you doing here?’ It was humiliating.”

:: JIM CARREY’s Dumb And Dumber sequel looks to be moving forward, after the directors confirmed the script is almost finished.

The movie’s future had been uncertain after Jim apparently dropped out, but last month his co-star JEFF DANIELS reportedly suggested that things were back on track and that both stars would be reprising their roles in the follow-up to the 1994 comedy.

Directors PETER and BOBBY FARRELLY have now added weight to those reports, by tweeting: “You also might be interested to know that we are almost done with the Dumb And Dumber To (sic) script.

“I think you’re going to like it.”
